Something In The Milky Way

Hello everyone!

Something In The Milky Way is a project I started developing back in high school while I was learning the ropes of game development. Although the game is still a work in progress and far from its final vision, I believe it has reached a stage worth sharing. I am open to all kinds of feedback and suggestions.

Something In The Milky Way is a 2D pixel-art roguelike. You start the game with a weak spaceship that fires a single bullet, but as you survive waves, you can power up and transform into a formidable ship capable of obliterating alien.

Controls

In the game, you can have two abilities equipped at the same time. You start with the Cannon and Blaster.

• First Ability Slot: Q
• Second Ability Slot: E
• Movement: WASD or Arrow Keys
• UI Navigation: Mouse (Click to select)

Please note that while the Blaster and Parry power-ups are visible in the game, their code is not yet complete, so they may not function correctly. I am also aware of certain UI issues and bugs. I plan to fix everything and introduce new weapons in the next update.

Upcoming in the next update:

• Melee weapons
• Dozens of items that change gameplay mechanics
• New enemies
• Two mini-bosses and one main boss
• Fully functional Blaster and Parry mechanics
• UI overhaul
• A new playable spaceship
• Numerous bug fixes

I have already finished the artwork and placements for the new content; now I just need to integrate them and write the code. Your comments and suggestions during this process would be incredibly helpful.
